How to tell if your package
is from 1985 or 1987:
The 1985/87 are the only blisterpacks
that had a seperate bubble enclosing the micros that was not attached to
the main card. There was a gap of about 1/2 inch between the bubble and
main card. The box that the micros sat upon was about 1/2 inch on the front
and thicker toward the back. The top half of the card had the micro
machines logo with lines coming down at an angle (similar to sunrays) with
a pink-orange coloration. Underneath the sunray design is blue and shows
overhead views of micros with legnth dimensions. Both years also had a
yellow starburst design that states: Magnifying Lens Included! In the 87
pack the writing on this was quite bolder than the 1987 packs. The center
color on the micro machines logo is purple on the 87, while on the 85 it
was blue.. The copyright date will also tell you which exact year
it is from.
